First Impression of Nara
Like every other who has visited Nara, my first impression has been the abundance of this area’s majestic historical sites. The several famous heritage sites are breathtaking including Todaiji, Kasuga-Taisha, Heijo Palace site, Toshodaji, Yakushiji and many others.
While the temples and shrines remind of us the historical significance of Nara, many people come here to experience an interaction with a cute deer, around a thousand of them roaming around freely in the park.
The natural scenery in Nara is equally beautiful. There is nothing better walking around the Nara Park surrounded by lots of lovely deer most especially in spring; where the park is filled with cherry blossom, and in the autumn; where the park is at its most picturesque with backdrops of red, yellow and orange leaves.
What I see, feel and experience in Nara inspired me to paint the beauty and identity of Nara and made it into heartfelt postcards. This is also my simple contribution in promoting Nara to the world.
